The Ice Cream Parlor tells the story of Otto Schneeweiss (Gerard Thoolen), a Jew who fled from Berlin, who owned the Amsterdam ice cream parlor Koco at the start of World War II. The ice cream parlor where, after conflicts between young people and NSB members, the resistance against the German occupation began. The film ultimately shows how war, any war, destroys basic human relations forever.
