La Cena plot
Flora owns the restaurant Arturo al Portico, where as a hostess she welcomes people, takes them to their place and takes care of them. The guests are diverse: young, old, regular customers, holidaymakers, relatives, married or single. For Flora, the customer is king: when Japanese tourists ask for ketchup to go with the pasta, they get it, to the horror of Flora's staff. While working, Flora listens to the love stories of the guests and the kitchen staff. A woman invites all her lovers to dinner at once, a daughter confesses to her mother that she wants to enter the monastery, while mother can only think about boyfriends and appearance. In all these scenes the insecurities, expectations, frustrations and broken hearts of everyday life pass by. This as long as the meal lasts and everyone goes his own way.
