Killer Tomatoes Strike Back! plot
"When good vegetables go bad!"
Commissioner Boyle and tomatologist Kennedi Johnson conduct an extensive investigation into the earlier tomato attacks and discover that Professor Gangrene wants to brainwash all Americans through special talk shows. Plus, he's planning a new tomato invasion that could spell the end of humanity.

It's special to think that it is still director John De Bello who took charge of all parts of the series, especially when you look at this piece of work again. It must have had to do with a smaller budget, which gave the makers less room for their ideas, but it is really nothing to watch. The acting is far below par, the effects are sloppy and the jokes are anything but effective. Strike Back is more or less a complete repetition of the previous parts and does not actually have a single joke that is in unknown territory. I was completely disturbed by all that busy and chaotic stuff that never really caught on, it really was the heaviest 87 minutes I have experienced in a long time. My extra half point goes to the look of the tomatoes, which have been given an actual face here for the first time.
