Funny, bad 80's movie. Heather Locklear, in particular, is amazing in her role. Also Dick Durock did a nice job as the "Swamp Thing". The movie also had a nice cheesy 80's vibe. This movie gets a 3.5 from me.

Very mediocre sequel to the first part, which wasn't a masterpiece either. It's a shame that no interesting film was made of this fascinating comic figure. Remake maybe?

As for this sequel: Wynorksi is making a great game of it. Return of Swamp Thing really doesn't know which way to go and switches from semi-horror to comedy and back again at the most idiotic moments. It is that the make-up effects are decent, otherwise this would have had a much thicker insufficient. Very mediocre.

2*

Once upon a time in the swamp

Revised after years on the new 4K edition of Screenbound.

Following the mysterious death of her mother, Abigail Arcane (Heather Locklear) travels to the swamps of Florida to confront her resurrected, evil stepfather, Dr. Anton Arcane (Louis Jourdan). In an attempt to combat the effects of aging, Dr. Arcane combines genes from various swamp animals and humans, creating an army of monsters known as the Un-Men. When Abby arrives, Dr. Arcane is determined to take his own stepdaughter's life in the name of science...

Delightfully trashy 80s pulp in which the towering Dick Durock returns as Swamp Thing and takes on other mutated monsters; it is hilarious that he pops up at exactly the right moment every time. The entire script is a joke, of course, but this sequel still has its charm. To start with, there is the main title montage consisting of stunning comic book covers set to the soundtrack of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Born on the Bayou." The soundtrack was a huge plus anyway; with every appearance of Swamp Thing, you heard an epic tune. In terms of the cast, Jourdan stood out the most, returning as we of course know him as the bad guy Kamal Khan from Octopussy. The sexy Locklear is a feast for the eyes, and we also see Sarah Douglas as Dr. Lana, Arcane's right-hand woman, whom we recognize from Superman 1 & 2 and Conan the Barbarian. Those two little boys were incredibly annoying, though.
