This video has a nice variety because of the four storylines that are intertwined. This prevents any of the stories from becoming boring quickly and keeps the pace going. This makes it entertaining enough and leads to a twist at the end. The horror is somewhat disappointing and unfortunately I didn't experience any real scare moments.

Pretty funny.

Although the design is a bit different. Actually an anthology in everything, except that the stories are mixed together. However, they are quite different in terms of style, which may have made it a little more complex than necessary. This is also evident from most messages here, because even counting to 4 (or 5 if you like) is apparently difficult.

The most striking story is undoubtedly that of Santa Claus himself. A nice kitschy elf zombie splatter that sometimes looks a bit cheap in terms of CG, but where the fun ultimately dominates. The Krampus short also stands out, although perhaps because it is presented in a slightly more comical way.

The other two videos are a bit more serious, with the one with the changeling/trolls being the best. The fake doc is the least, although still not really bad. But in terms of concept it's just a bit overdone these days, it just needs a few years to become fun again.

All this is pleasantly discussed by an increasingly drunk William Shattner in a radio booth. In the end it is not a really high-quality film and somewhere I suspect that it would have been more fun as a classic anthology, but it is entertaining and there are certainly some cool ideas left and right.

3.0*

I was slightly disappointed with the review and that is saying something if the first viewing was not exactly of high quality. A Christmas Horror Story could easily have been provided with "Stories" instead of Story since it is an anthology film in which the stories are mixed together. A plot experiment that does not exactly turn out advantageous, but it is not a bad thing for the final quality either. The story about Santa Claus who has to fight a number of evil elves is the highlight of the film, where the most is made in terms of atmosphere and gore. The other stories (a family facing Krampus, a documentary investigation around an abandoned building and a Christmas creature disguised as a son) are too serious and mainly too stupid to leave a positive impression. The screenwriters have been as creative as possible to bring the individual stories together, but in the end you have to make do with a single fun segment within a complete picture of 100 minutes.
