Sweepers (1998)

Fantastic soundtrack that gives the film a serious character, with good acting from Dolph Lundgren (although it remains to be seen how difficult pretending to be drunk really is ) and decent action. As far as I'm concerned, Bruce Payne's character could have been better developed and the action could have been paced a bit better (halfway through it becomes more Indiana Jones). However, thanks to the soundtrack and the beautiful backdrops, it is certainly worth watching.

I looked at it again today; I saw my last comment from 2017 and now 2026 revised again!

Entertaining action film starring Dolph Lundgren, a somewhat unusual story about mine exploration and him going in search of a special mine together with a woman.

There is also a small twist in the film.

There are some good action scenes in it and the film isn't boring; plenty of shootouts and explosions, as well as some beautiful visuals. The film claims it is based on a true story, but the highlight was definitely the last underground section and the finale on the moving train!
