Schellen-Ursli plot
Late summer in the idyllic Swiss Lower Engadin. Ursli helps his parents with the hard work on the mountain. He cherishes a deep friendship for the equally old Sereina, who spends the summer with her parents at the nearby holiday residence. But when a large part of the crop is lost due to bad weather, the family has to take out a loan from the wealthy shopkeeper of the village, leaving them in heavy debt. For Ursli, the whole world is collapsing.
