Tension at Table Rock plot

"A man like Shane... the suspense of High Noon..."

Wes Tancred killed a popular gunslinger in self-defense. Because an inferior song has been made about him and he is approached about the shooting everywhere he goes, Wes seeks anonymity. Along the way, Wes finds work with father and son Ed and Jody Burrows, who run a stagecoach line outpost. When this outpost is taken over by three outlaws, Ed is killed. West then brings Jody to his Aunt Lorna Miller in Table Rock. Lorna's husband, Sheriff Fred Miller, is traumatized after a fight in his past. When a group of 50 free-spirited drovers visit Table Rock and cause chaos, killing a rancher, Fred is afraid to perform. It doesn't take long before Fred has to face the locals, Lorna and the 50 drovers. Wes has always tried to keep aloof, but especially after the arrival of the gunslinger Jim Breck, whom he knows from the past, he is faced with a difficult decision.
