De Trip van Teetje plot

The young, shady Rotterdam businessman Teetje thinks he is seizing the opportunity of his life by buying a large Russian ship that is chained. However, he discovers that not only does the ship contain a large cargo, but that there has also been a fairly sizable crew on the ship for months. Teetje wants to set sail as soon as possible to sell the cargo somewhere. On board, Teetje gradually gains more sympathy for the sailors and understanding of their plight. He discovers that money doesn't mean everything.
