Madame Jeanette plot

The Hindustani and Muslim Bibi is married to the Christian Creole Ted. In the Amsterdam Bijlmer, their marriage bridges the cultural gap between Hindustani and Creoles. Initially, Bibi is completely dependent on Ted, the breadwinner and protector of her family. When he is caught and imprisoned for a while, Bibi is forced to tap into new talents to keep the family alive. She turns to Madame Jeanette (Jetty Mathurin), a wise old woman, who lays the cards of her future.
