Juana la Loca plot
Laredo, August 22, 1496. A fleet sails to Flanders. He brings sixteen-year-old Princess Johanna to the Royal House of Brussels to marry the monarch who will later be known as Philip the Fair. They are equally attracted to each other and feel an uncontrolled desire for each other. They forget their political obligations and surrender themselves to their emotions. But fate has other plans for them. With the death of her older brother and sister and her mother Isabella the Catholic, Joanna becomes Queen of Castile and Aragon. These events result in two battles: one political battle, between the Flemish and Castilian nobility, and the other, which is much worse, Johanna has to fight in her marriage. The obligations that come with her new royal title leave her cold. She develops an obsession with her husband Philip, despite his licentious behavior towards the ladies of the court.
