Funny... A few weeks ago I asked in the topic "I am looking for a film title". My description was kind of crappy because it had been a long time since I saw the movie. I just came across the topic "link the films", and suddenly there is A Troll in Central Park. I thought, "Hey, that's that movie!" And yes, it's him.

I remember that I didn't think he was that great, but that he was nice. Now that I read the plot, a lot comes to mind. That green thumb, for example, was a lot of fun. Gnorga was indeed a less fun character. There are nice parts in this film, but as a whole it is nothing more than nice.

A mediocre animated film that was not very successfully received. According to Gary Goldman, the film was released without any promotion, and had a limited release. Goldman further indicated that Warner Bros. had no faith in this film whatsoever. The film was originally going to be distributed by MGM in the United States, and by J&M Entertainment abroad. Both companies dropped the project due to concerns about the bankruptcy of Bluth's studio. Warner Bros. purchased the distribution rights in March 1993. Dom DeLuise lent his voice to many Don Bluth films, but this is the only animated film in which he voices the main character.

Despite the lively musical score, this cannot really be called positive. The character designs and animation are corny. Of course, we didn't know any better in the past, but critically speaking, this is not recommended.
