The Innocent plot
Berlin, 1955. The young English engineer Leonard Marnham, together with the American Robert Glass, is involved in a secret operation. Leonard falls in love with the German Maria, but his work makes a relationship with her impossible. Glass advises him not to get involved with her because she might be working for the enemy. Leonard is torn between his duty and his feelings, especially when his superiors order him to shadow Glass.
