O Megalexandros plot
Set against the background of ancient Greek history about Alexander the Great, this story follows another Alexander. This Alexander escapes from prison in 1900 and fights against the government. He kidnaps some British aristocrats as ransom for his amnesty and that of his men. He travels with his captives to his birthplace and there comes into conflict over how the city should be run.
