Prey of the Chameleon plot

"She loves you. She kills you. She becomes you."

Patricia is picked up by JD during a rain storm. But... Patricia is not who she seems. The real one was murdered. The woman next to JD is 'the Chameleon', a beautiful young woman who has fled a mental institution and left a deadly trail behind. She befriends her victims, kills them and assumes their identities. When JD is seduced by Patricia, they have a passionate night. The next morning, however, JD gets the shock of his life: he sees how she changes into him.

A utterly pathetic made-for-TV movie.

The script is dreadful, the actors clearly weren't interested in it at all either – they ruin just about every scene, and it is quite clear that they are all capable of much better. And the overly exaggerated soundtrack, which, especially towards the end, pretends to be something that is never delivered for a single moment.

It is good that everyone involved returned later in better productions, except for director Fleming B. Fuller. Not everyone deserves a happy ending, I suppose.
