Video-nasty, which has built up quite a reputation.

Unfortunately I have to say that this is unfair, because although it approaches films like Maniac in terms of sleazyness, it takes far too long before you see something nasty again.

It should be noted that the kid CJ is a jellyfish, a really annoying little guy.

The gore effects are very good, the story less so.

Still, this is a must see for gore movie fans.

3.5*

In the revision!

Back in the day a real must-see just because of the bloody Dutch VHS cover. Your parents would be really happy if you came home with it from the video store.

Hiring Tom Savini for the bloody FX was also a good choice. Admittedly, between the splatter scenes there is still an hour and a half of story and build-up to be done. It manages to be somewhat captivating, but real tension is sometimes lacking.

Classic finale!

Cool video nasty. I thought the kills were really cool and the setup of the film was interesting. The downside was the sound, which is sometimes unintelligibly soft, and then suddenly blaring. Annoying to have to watch with the remote control in your hand, but hey, it's also pretty low budget. The film sags a bit at a certain point, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. I saw the 88 films version. Not the longest version I see, but uncut and uncensored according to the label itself, and that's what it looked like hahaha. I love cheap horror.
