Ugh, I was expecting a good horror movie here, but unfortunately, it isn't.
I was particularly bothered by the large number of jump scares... After a while, this really got on my nerves.
By now we know the tricks, and if you only get startled twice, you know those jump scares were unnecessary.
Tip: go with someone who can't handle horror at all; it will be a fun scare night for that person.

A film along the lines of, for example, Sinister, Insidious, or Conjuring. But here we see the entity sooner, and they handle it in a different, creative way. The cliché jump scares work, but they remain cliché. It is atmospheric and engaging due to the idea of revealing the entity early on. But then it never becomes special. Rather, it is a film with good moments that isn't so much boring, but doesn't really stick with you afterwards.
