In search of inspiration for her new novel, Sylvie spies on her neighbors across the street. Meanwhile, she calls upon the younger Adam to help her with her daily routines. With prominent roles for Vincent Cassel, India Hair, and a supporting role for Catherine Deneuve, this pretentious arthouse version of Rear Window is a waste of top talent. Huppert plays a seriously ill writer who uses her fantasies about three foley artists in a neighboring apartment as inspiration for her new novel. Her daughter [India Hair] hires a homeless man [Adam Bessa] to keep an eye on things and help her mother with household chores. The script mixes fantasy and reality, but for the characters, too, the line between fact and fiction becomes increasingly blurred. Slow, confusing, and misleading, with a disappointing conclusion.

Disappointing Fahradi. Precisely the strongest point of his top films (the script) falls quite short here and is mostly forced and often far-fetched. Fahradi is very good at handling multiple mysteries in the film and revealing them in small steps, which did keep the viewer's attention. But for me, it was primarily a film that crumbled when you think about it after watching it.
