I just watched this movie. It looks like an extra-long episode of a segment from one of the V/H/S/ movies. The story is good and the fact that you now see everything from a bodycam POV is a nice touch. The acting was adequate and the story build-up was satisfactory. The atmosphere was also nicely creepy and the "unexpected" element was fun and well done. The length of the film was also just right. However, the revelation of the demon at the end of the film was severely disappointing and totally NOT scary!!! Unfortunately, this happens quite often in horror movies these days, such as "the monster" in Smile or the demon Toby in Paranormal Activity (6): The Ghost Dimension and the demons in The Conjuring (4): Last Rites, etc. All in all, a fun movie and fans of found footage horror films will likely appreciate this one (too). In my opinion, this film does not belong to the top tier of found footage horror movies, but it is certainly worth watching!

Very enjoyable found footage indeed. Occasionally, the film did flirt with the boundaries of the crude, such as with Underman's creature design or the endless "you took something from us, ...", but putting that aside, it is still a first-class horror film. The action actually starts within the first ten minutes. Thanks to the POV, you are immediately drawn into the film. The V/H/S vibe is noticeable right from the first scene, but the pace isn't slowed down here because there is only one story. The first half is perhaps the better half due to the suspense and mystery, but the film manages to keep adding something towards the end. It just kept going, and in a positive way.

It has been since Z that Brandon Christensen has made something of such quality.
