Agneta is a colorful and funny person, but it's not immediately apparent. She just turned 49, her children have left home, her job at the traffic department is boring, and Agneta feels invisible. Her husband, on the other hand, has found meaning in life by taking icy baths and cycling fast in expensive clothes. In a desperate attempt to escape the drudgery of everyday life, Agneta leaves her safe Swedish life behind to work as an au pair for a Swedish boy in France.

This is quite an original film about someone who moves from Sweden to France to start living again, because she is a bit fed up with Sweden. Predictable, certainly, but beautifully shot in France with a touch of drama.

Agneta [Eva Melander] loves everything French, but has never been to France. At 50, she decides to break the routine by responding to an advertisement for an au pair in France. Despite reluctance from her husband [Jérémie Covillault], Agneta accepts a position as caregiver for Einar [Claes Månsson]. To her surprise, Einar turns out not to be a child, but an eccentric, elderly Swedish man.
