A Family plot
Life for Eli (14) and Nina (16) seems carefree. Eli is on his swim team, and Nina is in love with her friend Steffie. The divorce of their parents, Maria and Jacob, puts them between the two. The struggle for co-parenting and the surrounding quarrels force Eli and Nina to make choices they don't want to make. Each with their own grief, Eli and Nina drift further and further apart. Until they realize they're both searching for the same love, validation, and comfort.
