Okay, so Halloween Massacre (2024) is actually a pretty sick indie horror flick. It totally gives off those old-school Halloween vibes — you know, creepy sets like Friday the 13th, a masked killer stalking people like Michael Myers, and all that classic 80s slasher energy. But this one’s way gorier and way more intense. The tension never really lets up, and the kills? Kinda brutal, not gonna lie. It looks alright for a low-budget. If you’re into classic horror movies or just want something bloody and fun to watch with friends, this one’s super underrated. Definitely worth a watch.

Halloween Massacre gets off to a strong start with a few unsettling moments in the first 20 minutes, the murders and the vicious tone immediately standing out. It's then forgivable that the horrors look a bit cheap, with the exception of the clown himself. Director Nicky De La Vega then casts himself in the lead role, and that's where things immediately go wrong. The sound editing plummets to a deplorable level, Vega himself does abysmally, and the pacing slows considerably. While the film initially experienced some heavy visuals, it ultimately descends into predictable chaos once the finale arrives, and there's no denying Vega's performance.

I really enjoyed this! I’m a big fan of low-budget indie films, and I think this one totally nailed it.
