Penny Lane Is Dead plot

The story takes place in 1986, during a scorching Australian summer. Three best friends are having a party at a beach house. This turns into a bloody fight for survival when a prank goes horribly wrong.

The film opens fairly standardly and with the typical build-up for this type of slasher/survival movie. The second part is entertaining in itself, but to be honest, it is anything but believable. Therefore, it leans a bit too much towards a parody, whereas I don't think that is the intention of this raw Australian indie film. So it will depend on how well you are able to ignore that; I did enjoy it, but it is not a masterpiece. I have certainly seen better Australian films in the genre.
