February 8, 1977, marks the day Tony Kiritsis walks into Richard Hall's office. Hall, a mortgage broker and president of his company, is held at gunpoint and kidnapped by Kiritsis on this fateful day. The world watches in suspense to see how this conflict will end. Tony's demands include five million dollars, an apology from the Hall family, and a lack of prosecution.

I love these kinds of movies with a somewhat crazy story about a crazy person with a crazy idea, and it happens to be true. This film has a nice 70s vibe that I appreciate. The actors are good, and the direction is more than excellent. Al Pacino is in it, but his role is small and negligible, and I wouldn't do it for that anyway. This film simply held my attention from beginning to end with an ambiguous protagonist. A hero, a madman, or a criminal? Or is that office crime? I like those themes. Besides, I didn't know anything about this, which makes it an original story. A film you can recommend if you liked Falling Down 1993. It has similar themes about a man who can't handle it anymore and flips out in society. Or is he crazy, or is society crazy?
