Otec plot
Michal is a devoted father who one day makes a tragic mistake. As a result, his marriage is shattered, and he becomes isolated from his friends and family. Facing a possible prison sentence and his own guilt weighing heavily on him, he tries to rebuild his bond with his wife.

On a sweltering day in July, Zuzka [Dominika Morávková] asks if Micha [Milan Ondrik] can take their 2-year-old daughter to daycare before he goes to work. It promises to be a stressful day work-wise anyway, but the day is cruelly interrupted by a tragedy for which Micha is being prosecuted. Nvotová takes the time to sketch the daily routine and the family dynamics prior to the tragedy. What follows is a succession of scenes in which Micha and Zuzka give free rein to their emotions. Nvotová uses sound and dynamic camerawork to amplify those emotions. It is all well done, but also contrived and not very believable. Due to the lack of a storyline, Nvotová would have been better off condensing this to at most 30 minutes.
