A film about the cultural differences between people from Singapore and the Netherlands. A boy from Singapore is in a relationship with a girl from the Netherlands and suddenly has his parents visiting. He has to come up with all sorts of strange excuses to hide his relationship and make a good impression on his parents. A fun and captivating story with often beautiful and recognizable images from Rotterdam and the surrounding area, but also often told in a confusing way, with many characters whose roles in the story are not always clear.
