A slick documentary about the 2023 Dakar Rally. Five participants are followed during this grueling challenge through the desert, but in 85 minutes, I failed to build any connection with them whatsoever. The 'testimonies' of Carlos Sainz and Sébastien Loeb are clearly read aloud, which does not diminish the artificial effect; on the contrary.

What remains: the beautiful images of the desert.
