Coming-of-age drama about the life of young football player Dakota Riley, who struggles with feelings regarding his burgeoning sexuality. The film's message is clear, but the pace is a bit slow, causing attention to fade somewhat. I looked up this film after watching the series Heated Rivalry, in which Connor Storrie plays Ilya. In Riley, he plays the queer role of Liam (with long hair!) who challenges Dakota to be himself. While Dakota's role remains quite flat, I find Liam's role much more interesting. Connor plays this role with great intensity, which keeps the film interesting enough to watch.
