Hjem Kaere Hjem plot
Sofie starts a new job as a carer making home visits to elderly people in the small town where she lives with her 10-year-old daughter. Some of her patients are still quite mobile, others are bedridden and suffering from severe dementia. Sofie treats everyone with affection and professional care. She quickly finds her way into her role, but the harsh realities of the job soon become apparent. Sofie becomes increasingly stressed and exhausted, and her relationship with her daughter suffers.
