Paul-André is shy and rather introverted. He is rich but alone and so he becomes thoroughly bored and eventually concludes that he needs a family. Violette, a spunky young woman, is threatened with eviction and fears losing custody of her two children. Paul-André proposes that he hire her family and pay her for it. In this way he can form an idea for himself of what it is like to have a family. In good times and in bad times...
