A new teacher in the class always takes some getting used to, but Miss Pots beats them all. Kaya and Simon can't get along with this horrible woman right away. Had higher expectations. More humor. I don't find a kid who farts all the time funny.

I sometimes found the children a bit difficult to understand and the overall level was very childish.

Suitable for ages 10 and up, my kids didn't like it.

After an unfortunate fall in class, the beloved Miss Romy [Bibi Speek] is replaced by Miss Pots [Tygo Gernandt]. She is so unfriendly and often downright mean that Kaya [Juliëtte Van De Weerdt] and Simon [Pepijn Bouwens] complain to principal De Vries [Tim Haars]. He protects Miss Pots. Why? Kaya and Simon do their best to uncover the secret behind Miss Pots. The children's acting (especially Bouwens) often leaves much to be desired, but Gernandt is a hoot in a role he clearly relishes. Anniek Pheifer and Huub Smit deliver fine supporting roles as Kaya's strict mother (a police officer!) and the father who strongly resembles a Dutch television personality from the 1980s. This film adaptation of Tosca Menten's book of the same name is excellent for children.
