2023 film, no reviews and 25 votes yet…

That says something too.

I saw this on Netflix last year but skipped it because the story didn't really appeal to me as a Christmas movie. But ultimately, it's still okay within the Christmas genre. It is a very cheesy Christmas movie about love, though.

Two people searching for a missing WWII army officer who had written a bundle of love letters to his beloved back home. A search that also brings the two closer together.

All very loose and light-hearted, in the 'Hallmark' genre, but from a different network channel, namely the lesser-known 'Great American Family' (see bottom of poster).

It wasn't one of the worst I've ever seen. The actors are decent, meaning it's not always the typical overacting. There are occasional forced laughs and a bit of overdrive to show they're having a good time.

Furthermore, there is plenty of Christmas atmosphere and decor.

Ideal film for my Christmas tradition in the run-up to Christmas.

It's already December 22, 2025. So it will be one of the last for this year.

3*
