Vlny plot

In the heat of the Prague Spring of 1968, a group of Czechoslovak radio journalists risk not only their careers but also their lives to spread independent news amid national and regional unrest. Orphaned brothers Tomáš and Pája become entangled in the fight for freedom. The eldest, Tomáš, is a radio technician working at the station, struggling to defy the Communist Party’s censorship, overwhelming propaganda, and police intimidation. When security forces pressure him to spy for them, Tomáš finds himself in a difficult position between betraying his colleagues and protecting Pája.
