Bruin Jackson Superstar plot

Amsterdammer Bruin Parry is a full-fledged member of the art circuit. Now he has a new mission: to become a superstar, just like his idol Michael Jackson. Although singing is not his greatest talent, he starts - supported by friends and colleagues - to build a music career.

With enough money and willing contacts to arrange everything, even the most hopeless singer has a chance to make an album. The lyrics of 25-year-old Bruin Parry are abominable and he sings really terribly out of tune, but he still wants to make music. Mario Davidson had Bruin Parry shout some lyrics into the microphone, that's all we see of the hard work that normally goes into making an album. Donny Ronny (De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig) shows up for a track, Katja Schuurman collaborates on the music video and the release party takes place in De Melkweg. It mainly seems like Bruin didn't have to lift a finger himself! Every hard-working musician would probably be annoyed by this.
