Mediocre film about a woman who arrives at a luxurious writer's retreat and only wants to work. The characters and the course of events are quite predictable (and also a bit boring). The relationship that develops seems somewhat forced. Morocco is a beautiful location, but that is of course not enough. A small 2.5 stars.

Katherine Loewe [Laura Dern] travels to a writer's retreat in Morocco to work on her next book. There, she befriends Owen [Liam Hemsworth], the boyfriend of writer Lily Kemp [Diana Silvers]. Despite their many differences, a romance blossoms between Katherine and Owen. Hemsworth lacks the emotional depth to make his already superficially developed character interesting and is therefore not a worthy foil for Dern, although they are both saddled with a mediocre script.

Romantic drama film with an unusual plot.

The filming location is beautiful with beautiful images in sunny Morocco. Music was atmospheric and well suited to the scenes. Personally, I get the creeps from young (healthy) men who want a (serious) relationship with postmenopausal women. Biologically speaking, it is completely unnatural to fall for women who are the age of your mother and have long since left their fertile years behind them, because you will remain childless! And don't give me the idea of egg donation. Well, from those older women: young men, in good shape, virile, (for now) no need for Viagra.....

The film could have had more depth. And personally I didn't find the older writer attractive and certainly not fun to start something with. But then again, I'm not a man.

Because I found the film different from the standard films, I still gave it a passing grade.
