Long Gone Heroes plot
Gunner, a special forces soldier who has witnessed many battles and the darkest side of the world, is forced back into the battlefield to rescue his niece, who is being held captive in South America. Mediocre action movie. The story is far from original. The execution is very predictable and, like the story, familiar from many other similar films. The build-up is somewhat slow, and it takes a while before any real action starts. Once it gets going, Swab lets loose, but it all remains superficial and monotonous. The lack of originality means there is virtually no suspense. Grillo does deliver a solid performance, as we have come to expect from him in this genre. Visually otherwise fine. 2.5
