Mouse Trouble plot

Tom is excited when the postman brings a package: it is a book about catching mice. Tom tries each chapter one after the other: locating the mouse, the basic trap, working scientifically and responding to the mouse's curiosity. At every turn, however, Jerry uses the information from the chapter better than Tom does.
