Elyas plot
Elyas is a former Special Forces soldier who has become lonely and paranoid since serving in Afghanistan. He is recruited to protect 13-year-old Nour and her mother Amina. As the ex-combatant and the teenager get to know each other, they become the target of a mysterious commando.

Nice action film. The story is simple and good fodder for this genre. The execution is quite successful. The structure is reasonable and tension and action are well alternated. The action scenes also look neat. The plot twist is a bit easy but makes it a bit more original than the average versions. The ending is a bit too easy. The acting is mediocre. Visually quite well done with the budget. 3.0/3.5

A run-of-the-mill action film, but all in all quite entertaining. Unfortunately, the main character acts a bit over the top, making it a caricature. It gets a bit better later. The girl acts very well. The action is not credible, but it is entertaining. Too bad the 'discoveries' happen too easily. For example: his friend watches the images for 3 seconds and immediately sees that it is deep fake, he had very little leads to kill the group in the camper and the girl can quickly restore the deep fake videos in an internet café.. The action itself is also not really credible. Especially at the end they get caught up in the typical construct where a majority of villains try to eliminate the immortal main character one by one (why not all at once?) and where our main character has the gift of dodging all bullets and manages to eliminate the others with precision off the cuff. Unfortunately, the girl's thawing does not go smoothly, but rather abruptly. You have to rely on this action because it is not exciting: it is clear quite quickly how the story is constructed. It then becomes a series of action scenes in which they try to stay out of the hands of the villains. In terms of quality a bit equal to the later B films with Liam Neeson. So why 3 stars? Oh well, I enjoyed myself and I do have a soft spot for these kinds of themes. Moreover, I did not go to see the film with very high expectations. Maybe I am too generous and I should objectively give the film 2 or 2.5 stars. A fine film for a Friday night when you are tired and just want to be entertained.

Roschdy Zem is a pleasantly ambiguous character in this film, which makes it unclear for quite some time what exactly is going on - and even when you think you have figured it out, there is still another monkey out of the sleeve. Nicely done, and the somewhat unsatisfactory ending fits in well with that.
Furthermore, the plot, especially in the beginning, depends a bit too much on the action, which is okay but also a bit cliché. I would have preferred to see a bit more content in the segment with the gens du voyage. Also a nice chance to give Zem a bit more depth, although it's not really that kind of film either.
Besides Zem, the young Jeanne Michel also plays a fine role. The rest are clearly less important and could actually have been described as 'interchangeable cannon fodder' in the title role.
