Jade's Asylum plot

A group of wealthy young people travel to Costa Rica to party during a housewarming. Jade suffers a psychotic attack here, after which strange creatures emerge from the jungle and kill the people around her one by one. But is this due to Jade's delusional disorder or is there something deeper underlying this? Some landowners had said they would not build a house on sacred ground.
