A film about the attempt to make old nostalgia survive. I'm not talking about Pamela, but about the entertainment comedians that you still see here and there. They seem like anachronisms in a world of hip trendy bars. A bit of that Moulin Rouge feeling. Fine approach, certainly one that continues to flow on a feeling of serenity and passion.

Very pleasantly surprised by the two main protagonists. Pamela Anderson in an acting role that I did not expect from her. Vulnerable and strong at the same time. And Bautista also surprised me with his endearing empathic role. Well, not that it will win any Oscar nominations, but this was quite good!

Shelly [Pamela Anderson], 57, has been a dancer on 'Le Razzle Dazzle' for almost forty years. When the show's last financial backer announces it is closing down, Shelly must reconsider her future. At the same time, she reconnects with her daughter [Brenda Lourd], who harbors resentment over what she sees as a poor upbringing. Her relationship with her colleagues is also strained, but she finds support from her former colleague Annette [Jamie-Lee Curtis] and lighting technician Eddie [Dave Bautista]. Anderson shines in a role that was tailor-made for her and impressively reveals a part of her soul (and that of many women who have had a similar career). In her shadow, Bautista stands out with an understated performance that definitively proves he is more than just another action star.

Nice drama. The story is taken from life. The execution is reasonable and it nicely shows how times change, how people deal with it and struggle with it. It is all a bit predictable and feels a bit artificial and forced. The film lacks a bit of soul. It could also be due to the actors, but you miss a bit of the authenticity, the pure. Furthermore, the film is easy to watch. Visually reasonably done, although the camera work is sometimes a bit jerky, deliberately, but does not feel completely right. 3.0
