The Mystery of Mr E plot

Twin brothers John and George Danes perform unusual jobs for unique clients. As they prepare to leave for their puzzling assignment at Idlewyld House, an unexpected visitor arrives and introduces himself as the murderer Mr. E, and disappears. At their destination, the brothers are greeted by host Peter Landrigan, the son of a famous romance writer. Peter assures them that they were not invited to investigate a murder. However, this changes when a guest is found dead at the bottom of the stairs.
