I was able to pick this up for a low price thanks to the Fortis Film Days and I thought it was a good film. The film is divided into seven chapters that are shown at random. I first thought it was going to be a kind of gimmick, but it did benefit the film. One "disadvantage" is that you are thrown into the story.

The film is not too gruesome or gory, it is certainly doable.

The playing time is not too long and because of the non-linear storyline it certainly did not bore me.

Worth seeing.

Ironic crime thriller in 6 non-chronological chapters (and an epilogue) starts with chapter 3, in which a blonde woman [Willa Fitzgerald] is chased by a man [Kyle Gallner] in a car and has to continue her escape on foot in the woods – think of the second scene of Friday The 13th without the pay-off. Then it jumps to chapter 5. These chapters are quite conventional and make chapter 1 completely redundant. For genre connoisseurs, the first half is therefore quite boring. The second half, in which the reasons for the non-chronological structure become clear, is much better and puts the previous one into a new perspective. Mollner's screenplay is misleading and contains a few plot holes, but Fitzgerald's bravado is admirable and makes this still quite watchable for the patient among us, despite those annoying, "exciting" sound effects that are supposed to compensate for the lack of tension. But you have to bite the bullet.

This has little to do with horror, but it is a very nice original thriller.

The beginning is, as is often the case with non-chronological films, a bit of a struggle, but once it gets going, it creates an oppressive whole that keeps your attention from beginning to end. Excellent acting by both main characters and beautifully filmed. The highlight for me is the very last scene, both in terms of acting and cinematography.
