The daughter [Anna Stieblich] of Curt Wieland [Günther Maria Halmer], who has dementia, hires Ukrainian Marija [Emilia Schüle] to care for Curt during the day. Marija must contend not only with the challenges of dementia, but also with a cultural and generational divide and the advances of Curt's son Philipp [Fabian Hinrichs].
