The Unholy Trinity plot
"The past never stays buried."
Montana, towards the end of the 19th century. Just before his execution, Isaac Broadway gives his estranged son Henry an impossible task: kill the man who framed him for a crime he didn't commit. Henry wants to keep his promise and travels to the remote town of Trinity for his mission. There, in an unexpected twist, Henry finds himself trapped and has to deal with Gabriel Dove, the new sheriff, and the mysterious St. Christopher.

The story itself is quite entertaining.
Jackson and Brosnan do what they do best well and their minds fit surprisingly well here as well.
The rest of the acting just wasn't great. Veronica Ferres, in particular, stood out to me. She's beautiful, but that's not enough to act. Because she has quite a bit of screen time where she's seen alone, that was quite noticeable.
Well, many of the rest of the actors also seemed to be trying hard to imitate the quality of a low-budget spaghetti western (is that a pleonasm?).
If that was the goal, then we achieved it.
The images were also often simply unbelievable and cinematically not beautiful, despite the beautiful surroundings in which some of the shots were taken.
A small smile, but I can't give it more than 2 stars.

This entertaining Western is set in the town of Trinity, Montana, in 1888. Henry Broadway (Brandon Lessard) has come there to take revenge on Sheriff Saul Butler, whom he holds responsible for the conviction and execution of his father (Tim Daly). Upon arrival, he discovers Butler has just been murdered by the fugitive Running Cub (Q'orianka Kilcher), and a new sheriff (Pierce Brosnan) has been appointed, who isn't universally popular. The appearance of the mysterious St. Christopher (Samuel L. Jackson), who was present at Henry's father's execution, heightens the tension in Trinity. A pleasantly old-fashioned Western with Brosnan and Jackson (in top form), ideally cast, and a classic script that is somewhat overpopulated with secondary characters. Genre lovers will nevertheless find plenty to enjoy.

Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson in a Western. Who wouldn't want to see that? Even David Arquette, known for his Scream films, has a bit part. The film doesn't really stand out, and don't expect anything spectacular. Nevertheless, it's well-paced for a typical Western.
