The Shadow Strays plot
A seventeen-year-old trained assassin known as codename 13 has been suspended after her careless actions in Japan. She meets eleven-year-old Monji who lost his mother at the hands of a crime syndicate. When the boy is captured, 13 goes to great lengths to bring him back. For this she goes against her own employers.

Poor six. Not really a captivating story, bad acting. But the action was cool. Sometimes a bit exaggerated but still fun. The film doesn't bore you but is never really good. Fun for once.

Entertaining, well-made action film from Indonesia, about a seventeen-year-old trained assassin (Aurora Ribero) who takes on a shady crime syndicate in Jakarta. Extremely violent and bloody, with virtuoso spectacle and a never-ending stream of well-choreographed fight scenes. On the long side and director Timo Tjahjanto doesn't always know when to stop, but overall this is very enjoyable, with memorable characters and a nice lead role for Ribero.

Nice action movie. The story is simple and good stuff for this genre. The execution is reasonable but the director stretches the fight scenes very long. Especially the final scene just takes way too long so it is no longer interesting. The length of the film is also too long for a simple story. Furthermore, the film looks well stylized with beautifully shot action scenes. The film is very violent and bloody. The acting is reasonable with a number of nice characters. 3.0/3.5
