Betty's Bad Luck in Love plot
Thirty-something Betty Baldwin avoids risks not only because she is an actuary and risk analyst, but mainly because she believes a curse was placed on her when she was a teenager twenty years ago. Betty fears that fate is out to get her when she is attracted to her new neighbor Alex, who travels into the danger zones of the world as a photojournalist. Outside of work, Alex is a risk taker who wants to live life to the fullest. As they spend more time together, Betty must decide what to do if she really likes him but doesn't want anything to happen to him.
