Sasquatch Sunset plot
A special family is followed for a year. Divided into four segments, equal to the number of seasons, the daily life of a sasquatch and its habits and behavior are captured on film. Their mutual communication in the form of growling, among other things, is approached in a detailed manner. It also becomes clear that the Yeti is no stranger to violence.

A sasquatch is a primate whose existence has not (yet?) been confirmed. Bigfoot and Harry (no relation to The Hendersons) belong to this species within film history. This absurdist comedy drama shows how a male [Jesse Eisenberg] and a female [Riley Keough] sasquatch survive in the wilderness with their child [Christopher Zajac-Denek]. Communication takes place – just as in, for example, Aaaaaaah! – exclusively through facial expressions and grunting sounds. The time in which it takes place is left unclear for a long time and is full of bizarre behavior that the makers apparently found very amusing. An extremely strange comic drama that is destined to gain cult status. Steve Newburn's costume design is excellent and gives the cast what they need to express emotion.

Crazy, Ari Aster-produced look into the lives of a Sasquatch family, possibly the last of their kind. Due to the complete lack of dialogues and plot, it has become a difficult task, although the film has its moments and visually everything is nicely taken care of. The documentary-style approach also works well. In the end it's all just a bit too sparse and bland to make an impression, but at least it is original.
