"Part 1 - The Kindling"
Muthu is a low-caste young man from a small town near Thoothukudi. As a boy harvesting thorns in the dry, desolate desert land, he is used to danger as a daily reality. One fateful day, his thorns are destroyed by a devastating fire. Muthu's mother laments the dangers due to his violent tendencies and sends him to Mumbai to sell Parottas on the streets. This soon turns out to be a cover for all kinds of crime and Muthu becomes involved in the underground activities of the Tamil gangsters. In search of a better life and to earn money for the home front, Muthu reluctantly embraces this dark side.
