Thanks to a magazine image, Martin [Arcadi Radeff] discovers that he probably has a work of art by the Austrian expressionist painter Egon Schiele hanging in his house in Mulhouse. Through an art expert [Nora Hamzawi], he gets in touch with appraiser and auctioneer André Masson [Alex Lutz], who comes to view it with his ex-wife and colleague Bertina [Léa Drucker]. Since no lost works by Schiele have been found since 1939, André and Bertina are very surprised when they discover that the painting is authentic. And that is where the legal wrangling begins about who is the rightful owner, how and for what starting price the work should be sold, and how the proceeds should be divided. This legal battle could have made for an interesting film, but Pascal Bontzer and Iliana Lolic mainly focus on the self-absorbed André and his pretentious intern Aurore [Louis Chevilotte], who are mainly occupied with bickering about hardly relevant matters. Furthermore, it mainly consists of meetings and conversations, often by phone. You can't make a film much more boring!

A wonderful film. A good story and excellent acting. It's nothing special here, but it's a fun film to watch. It offers a glimpse into the world of art and the associated auction world.

All the characters, both leading and supporting, are people with all sorts of problems, human problems. And each character had something sympathetic, which was played well by the actors. So, the painting at the heart of this film became secondary. But that's precisely what made the film enjoyable to watch. Ultimately, the most important thing here, too, was to be kind to each other. This didn't quite fit with the art and auction world, and that's why the film felt a bit out of balance. Not a great film, but very enjoyable to watch. The lead role was a supporting role. Arcadi Radeff plays as if he were the boy next door. Unparalleled! The true-life story became so lifelike. I highly recommend this film!
