Kobieta Z... plot

The Polish character study follows the first forty-five years of Aniela Wesoły's life. However, it takes decades before she can actually bear that name, because she was born Andrzej. The path of life in strict Polish society seems to have already been mapped out for her, with marriage and family as the intended outcome. Yet the urge for personal freedom and acceptance remains unabated. Supported by her partner Iza, she does everything she can to go through life as Aniela.
